Dr. Katherine E. Misch received her bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in Washington, D.C graduating cum laude. In 1991 she received her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, she was awarded the Teldyne-Hanua award in Prosthodontics, the International Merit Award in Removable Prosthodontics, and the Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in Prosthodontics from the American College of Prosthodontics. During dental school, she also completed training and licensure in intravenous anesthesia. Dr. Misch then enrolled in a two-year specialty training program in prosthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine at the Highland Drive Veterans Hospital. Prosthodontics is the specialty of restoring teeth and/or replacing missing teeth with artificial substitutes such as dental implants. She completed her residency in 1993 and practiced in the South Hills of Pittsburgh. In 1999 she moved with her husband to Florida and established a specialty office in Sarasota. Her practice is concentrated on implant prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry. Dr. Misch is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the key opinion group Dentsply PEERS. Her dental peers have voted her a Top Dentist in the Sarasota area.
