Dental Implants & Reconstructive Surgery with Specialists in Sarasota
Our Family Treating Yours. World-Class Dental Care.
We restore confidence with high-precision implant dentistry and aesthetic solutions designed to last a lifetime. Our family of specialists takes care of every step of your treatment right here on South Tuttle Avenue, so you don’t have to travel in search of excellence.
Expert Implant Dentistry
in the Heart of Sarasota
You shouldn’t have to drive all over Florida to find top-tier dental care. We bring the expertise of renowned specialists directly to our community, serving neighbors from Longboat Key to Lakewood Ranch with the personal touch of a family practice.
The Specialist Difference
Many offices offer implants, but few have the dual-certification to handle complex cases from start to finish. Our team includes specialists in oral surgery and prosthodontics working side-by-side on your case. We don't just fill gaps; we engineer complete oral health solutions.
Seamless Care Under One Roof
There is a distinct comfort in knowing your entire treatment plan is conducted in a single location. You don't need a referral to a surgeon on the other side of town; our specialists are right next door. This integrated communication reduces errors and ensures the surgery is aligned with your aesthetic goals.
A Family Legacy
To be treated by Misch Implant & Dentistry is, truly, to have an entire family caring for yours. Dr. Craig and his wife, Dr. Katherine, founded this practice together over 25 years ago, and ADA Certified Prosthodontists. Today, their daughter Dr. Maggie, a Periodontist, and son-in-law Dr. Harry, a Prosthodontist, complete our multi-generational team.
All four family members are ADA Certified Specialists. When we say ‘family practice,’ we mean it literally. You are treated by parents, daughter, and son-in-law who care for you like an extension of our own family. Here, you will see the same board-certified doctors at every visit, ensuring close and continuous care.
Two Prosthodontists, Two Surgeons, and a Dental Hygienist Under One Roof
Most dental practices do not have a Prosthodontist, and corporate chains typically rely on general dentists. However, our family is different. We bring together three ADA certified Prosthodontists under one roof:
25+
Years of Clinical Excellence in Sarasota
• Dr. Craig M. Misch – Prosthodontist, Oral Surgeon, Implantologist (triple-certified, textbook author)
• Dr. Katherine E. Misch – Prosthodontist
• Dr. Harry Haring – Prosthodontist
Plus two surgeons who handle all procedures in-house:
• Dr. Craig M. Misch – Oral Surgeon (also listed above as Prosthodontist)
• Dr. Maggie Misch-Haring – Board-Certified Periodontist who performs all dental implant surgeries, bone grafting, and gum grafting procedures
And our dedicated hygienist:
• Natalie Rosbury, RDH – Registered Dental Hygienist specializing in implant maintenance and preventive care
Prosthodontic Expertise Hard to Find Elsewhere
Prosthodontists complete three additional years of specialty training beyond dental school, focusing exclusively on:
• Complex tooth replacement and reconstruction
• Implant-supported crowns and bridges
• Full mouth rehabilitation
• Cosmetic smile design
• TMJ and bite issues
When you have two Prosthodontists and two Surgeons collaborating on your case, you gain a broader perspective on your treatment. You receive a level of expertise that is virtually impossible to find anywhere else in Florida.
Your Implant Deserves the Expertise of a Periodontist
Dr. Maggie Misch-Haring is a Board-Certified Periodontist, a specialist who completed three additional years studying gum and bone surgery. Periodontists are experts who have mastered the foundation, specifically gum and bone, that determines long-term implant success.
Dr. Maggie performs all our implant surgeries, combining decades of surgical experience with the latest techniques in bone regeneration and soft tissue management. Dr. Maggie handles all implant surgeries with the same expertise Dr. Craig pioneered, while also providing specialized periodontal treatments including gum grafting and gum disease care. This means that every implant at our clinic counts on an extremely capable specialist to care for the implant, as well as the entire oral health environment that supports it.

Restoring Smiles for the Coastal Lifestyle
Our patients are active, full of life, and ready to enjoy everything our beautiful coast has to offer, without dental pain. We offer stable solutions so you can focus on your quality of life, not your teeth.
Dining with Confidence
A loose denture or a painful tooth shouldn't ruin a dinner at St. Armands Circle. We create implant solutions that are stable, resistant, and functional for any meal. We want you to order the steak or bite into a crisp apple without hesitation, using premium materials and having the full freedom to eat and socialize.
Ageless Aesthetics
A beautiful, healthy smile can rejuvenate your appearance without looking artificial or exaggerated. We view every case with an artistic eye, respecting your facial structure and personality. Our goal is a natural and renewed result that makes you feel like you again, so that people notice how well you look, not that you had dental treatment.
Health for Long Term
Oral health is deeply connected to body health, especially as the years go by. We adopt a complete approach, seeking the causes of the problem rather than just temporary solutions. Whether you are a permanent resident or a seasonal one, we create a maintenance plan for you, focusing on restorations made to last decades, caring for your health in the long run.
Specialist Solutions for Complex Cases
We believe you deserve to feel safe and understood, especially when facing complex treatment. We evaluate your case with the same honesty and dedication we would have with our own family, rebuilding the foundation of your smile so it withstands the test of time.
Advanced Implant Planning
Dental implants require careful planning to be safe, effective, and long-lasting. We use advanced 3D exams and state-of-the-art technology to map your jawbone with extreme precision before any procedure. This allows us to position implants safely, avoiding nerves and sinuses. We do it right the first time, so you don't have to redo it later.
Bone Grafting Experts
Many patients hear they don't have enough bone for implants, but we often have a solution. Dr. Craig Misch literally wrote the textbook on bone grafting, which gives us a unique capability. Today, Dr. Craig's daughter, Dr. Maggie Misch-Haring, performs all bone grafting procedures using the techniques he pioneered.
As a board-certified Periodontist with a Master's degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Dr. Maggie brings both the Misch family legacy and cutting-edge expertise to every case. Whether you need ridge augmentation, sinus lifts, or socket grafting, you're treated by a surgeon trained in the most advanced bone regeneration methods available.
We use safe, proven methods to rebuild bone and create a solid base. This ensures your implants have the necessary foundation to last for decades: a delicate process, yet essential for the success of your treatment.
Restorative Artistry
Function is essential, but we know aesthetics matter to you too. Our restorative team works with ceramics that reproduce the way natural enamel reflects light. We are meticulous with details of shape, size, and color balance. Your smile is one of the first things people notice, and we ensure it conveys confidence.
Clarity and Peace of Mind: Second Opinions
If a treatment plan seems confusing or too heavy, it is normal to seek a second opinion for security. We offer a clear and honest assessment, without pressure.
A Fresh Perspective
Complex dental problems often have more than one solution. We review your case with a keen eye to confirm if the diagnosis is truly the best for you. We may identify alternatives that preserve more natural teeth. Our goal is to give you information so you can decide with confidence.
Detailed Evaluation
We dedicate time to hear your story and understand your personal goals. Our exam evaluates not just teeth, but also gums, bite, and jaw joints. We use advanced technology to show exactly what is happening in your mouth, working with total transparency and explaining everything clearly and accessibly.
Honest Conversations
You will never feel pressured or "convinced" to undergo a procedure here. As a private clinic, we work for you and only for you. We present costs, timelines, and expectations clearly from the start, so you leave with a defined plan and total understanding of the process.
Understanding Your Investment
As a family practice that values our patients, we believe in complete transparency regarding your investment in oral health. While every case is unique, here are typical investment ranges:
Single Tooth Implant:
$4,000 - $6,000
(Includes surgical placement, abutment, and custom crown)
All-on-4 Full Arch Restoration:
$25,000 - $50,000 per arch
(Complexity, materials, and bone grafting needs affect cost)
Bone Grafting:
$500 - $3,000 per site
(Depends on extent of bone loss and technique required)
It is important to note that we are a fee-for-service practice and do not participate in insurance networks. This allows us to use the best materials and techniques without the restrictions imposed by insurance companies. We provide detailed receipts (superbills) that you can submit for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Payment is due at the time of service; we accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards.
Common Questions
Who will perform my implant surgery?
Dr. Maggie Misch-Haring, our Board-Certified Periodontist, is responsible for performing all dental implant surgeries at our practice. As Dr. Craig Misch’s daughter, she trained under his guidance and now brings over a decade of surgical experience. Furthermore, she performs all the surgeries her father pioneered, as well as advanced periodontal procedures like gum grafting and bone regeneration.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We are a fee-for-service practice and do not participate in insurance networks. This allows us to use the best materials and techniques without the restrictions imposed by insurance companies. If needed, we provide detailed receipts (superbills) that you can submit to your insurance provider for potential out-of-network reimbursement. It is important to remember that reimbursement varies by policy, and we cannot guarantee coverage.
How is seeing a specialist different from a general dentist?
Specialists complete 2 to 3 additional years of training beyond dental school in their specific area. Our three Prosthodontists dedicated 3 extra years to studying complex tooth replacement and smile reconstruction, and our Periodontist dedicated 3 extra years to studying gum and bone surgery. This depth of expertise results in better outcomes, especially for complex cases.
Stories from Our Sarasota Neighbors
We have served the Sarasota community for over 25 years, caring for neighbors and friends with the highest standards. Transformed smiles and renewed confidence are our greatest reward:
— Lynn B. Schramek
"Misch Family Dental Implants has been wonderful to our family for years. My husband has advanced Parkinson’s, and they have always been very caring… They did implants, partials, and several repairs. Since Brad started doing routine dental hygiene at this office, his dental health has improved greatly."
— D. Roeder
"I am new to the area and needed a dentist for a dental implant. I chose Misch Implant Dentistry because it is a family-owned business focused on implants and well-rated. I was seen by Dr. Maggie Misch-Haring and was impressed with her demeanor and the detailed explanation of the treatment. She realized I might need another implant but referred me first to an endodontist, Dr. Edlund, to verify if a root canal would resolve it. He was honest in saying the best option would be the implant. Yesterday, Dr. Maggie performed the implant and the extraction of the second tooth. The extraction was more complex because of an infection. Despite the discomfort, I felt safe with her. I received very detailed post-op instructions, which helped a lot. To my surprise, Dr. Maggie called me in the evening to know how I was doing and answered a question I would have called today to ask. Highly recommend Dr. Maggie and her team."
Care That Changes Lives
Many patients say they wish they had started sooner to smile and eat without fear again. We know dental anxiety is real, so we created a safe, non-judgmental environment with sedation options for total comfort.
Our patients choose our clinic for the combination of national recognition and genuine human care. Nothing gives us more satisfaction than seeing someone move from insecurity to a beautiful, secure smile.
