Misch Implant & Aesthetic Dentistry was established in Sarasota in 1999. We are a family owned private practice that is not under the direction of a corporation. Patients are referred to our office from all over the country for advanced specialty dental care provided under one roof. All of our dentists are specialists with three to seven years of postgraduate residency training. We have earned a reputation for excellence in prosthodontics, periodontics and dental implant treatment.

Oral Surgeon

An oral and maxillofacial surgeon is a surgical specialist in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, injuries, and defects in the mouth, jaws, face, and neck.

Oral surgeons are the only dental specialists who are surgically trained in a hospital-based residency program for a minimum of four years after dental school. They perform a broad spectrum of operations including extractions, dental implants, and bone grafting.

They are also uniquely trained in office-based anesthesia.

We Are Prosthodontists

A prosthodontist is a specialist in the replacement of missing teeth. They have completed a full-time two-year residency after dental school.

Prosthodontists are experts in the fabrication of implant replacement teeth including crowns, overdentures, dentures, and fixed bridges.

They focus on delivering cosmetic and functional prosthetic replacement of missing teeth.

Periodontist

A periodontist is a dental specialist in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of periodontal disease (a chronic inflammatory disease that affects the gums and bone supporting the teeth also known as gum disease).

They perform scaling and root planning, gum surgery, gum grafting and cosmetic gum surgery. Periodontists are also specialists in bone grafting and the surgical placement of dental implants. Periodontists receive extensive training including three additional years of residency education beyond dental school.
