Dr. Katherine E. Misch received her bachelor’s degree from Trinity College in Washington, D.C., graduating cum laude.
Dental Degree
In 1991 she received her dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine. Upon graduation, she was awarded three honors for excellence in Prosthodontics:
Teledyne-Hanau Award in Prosthodontics
International Merit Award in Removable Prosthodontics
Outstanding Undergraduate Achievement in Prosthodontics (American College of Prosthodontists)
IV Sedation Licensure
During dental school, she also completed training and licensure in intravenous anesthesia.
Prosthodontic Residency
Dr. Misch then enrolled in a two-year specialty training program in prosthodontics at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine at the Highland Drive Veterans Hospital. Prosthodontics is the specialty of restoring teeth and/or replacing missing teeth with artificial substitutes such as dental implants. She completed her residency in 1993 and practiced in the South Hills of Pittsburgh.
Co-Founder of Misch Implant & Aesthetic Dentistry
- In 1999 she moved with her husband, Dr. Craig Misch, to Florida and established a specialty office in Sarasota. Her practice is concentrated on implant prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.
- Today, Dr. Katherine works alongside her husband and their daughter Dr. Maggie Misch-Haring (Periodontist) and son-in-law Dr. Harry Haring (Prosthodontist)—a family of four specialists providing coordinated care under one roof.
Professional Affiliations
Dr. Misch is an active member of the Academy of Osseointegration and the key opinion group Dentsply PEERS.
